Kelly Nash grew up in Davie, Florida a city located outside Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kelly Nash was raised boating and fishing with her father Ed Nash. There are two sisters in her family, Kaitlyn Nash and Carolyn Nash. Kelly Nash is of English, Irish, Swedish, and Portuguese Ethnic group. Her great-grandfather was a migrant to the United States from Portugal.



 Kelly Nash loved the Miami Marlins from a young age. Even though Nash had a passion for sports from a young age she always thought she would become a news reporter. In the year 2006, Kelly Nash graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies. After that, she graduated from Clemson with a master's degree in Youth Development Leadership in 2009. She was awarded an athletic scholarship from the Clemson Athletic Department in exchange for covering their soccer and baseball teams for the Sports information Department Career



 Kelly Nash, a MLB Network studio host, has appeared on multiple shows including Quick Pitch, the nightly highlights program. She is also an NHL Network Studio host, Appearing on the Nightly Game recap Show, On The Fly. In March 2015 she joined the MLB Network. She also started contributing to the NHL Network in 2015. The NHL Network's daily operations were run from the MLB Network headquarters.
