Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is a Hollywood writer and actor whose talent has earned her recognition as well as critical praise. Sagittarius. Born in North Carolina December 3, 1960. She's the eldest of three siblings who were born in the home of Peter Moore Smith, a paratrooper and Anne psychologist. She's English and Scottish heritage. Moore's father moved around a lot because of his job. It was difficult for her to make and keep friendships. Moore was in the class of Frankfurt American High School in Germany at the time her parents relocated to the United States. Moore began her career on stage. She furthered her education at Boston University, graduating in 1983 with a B.F.A. In Theater. Moore is a theater graduate who attended the college with honors in New York and started her acting career off Broadway when she moved into New York. In an episode of The Edge of Night in 1985, Moore appeared in her first appearance on the screen. The break came in 1986 when she played the roles as Sabrina Hughes as well as Frannie Hughes on The World turns. The show aired from 1988 to the present and was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance. The film she made her debut in the year 1990, with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which was later described by her as a horrible low-budget movie. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), both Robert Altman productions, were her debut films. The former was critically acclaimed and Moore was nominated for several awards for it. Moore played her first main character on screen in Safe(1995). The casting of Steven Spielberg's Moore in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which is among the highest grossing films from 1997, was a significant moment in Moore's career. In 1999 she starred in the critically acclaimed Magnolia and received a SAG award for her role. The Hours, a 2002 film that she co-starred in alongside Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep was nominated for 9 Academy Awards. Moore was also in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. Non-Stop was her 2014 film. Moore has appeared in numerous television and film series. The most recent of her leading roles is in 2022, When You Finish Securing the World. Her acting career in Hollywood is well established and she's also a published children's novelist. She released her first book in 2007 Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became a N.Y.T. Bestseller. The book was transformed into a TV series and music. Additionally, in 2013, Moore published My Mother Is a Stranger. Moore, as a very popular author and performer is also known for making her personal life public. Moore was married to John Robin back in 1984, and the couple divorced in 1996. She has two kids along with Bart Freundlich whom she later was married to in 2003. Moore's world revolves around her colleagues, friends and family.
